All grammatical constructions are illustrated by a linguistic analysis of sentences and extracts from classical texts. This course also includes exercises in prose composition as well as the individual translation of Classical Greek texts of substantial length (cursory reading: large extracts from two Platonic dialogues (Symposium and Phaedo), and a speech by the orator Lysias).
At regular intervals there will be tests on vocabulary and morphology.
