Musical journey illustrated by over 100 musical examples (recordings or films ethnomusicological).
It is also accompanied by an introduction of a conceptual and notional (syllabus) addressing topics such as: music and the musician; Music and evolution: the musical and non-musical; Name the musical, Music and socio-economic contexts; Music and social classes, music and work and money Music, Music and gesture, music and writing; Ethnomusicologie, etc.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

- Introduction to the role and functions of music in culture, language and expression of social identity.

- Introduce the concepts and vocabulary of ethnomusicology.

- Stress, through the example of music, the place of culture in education.

- Addressing the music - the universal language - as a factor of integration as an instrument of citizenship.
