Main themes
The special characteristics of metaphysics, the way in which the various layers of topics are linked, its conceptuality and methods, the questions it poses (meaning of existence, being, the absolute etc.) : for example, meta ta phusika, metaphysics and theology, metaphysics and logic, analogy, the concept of system, the status of the universals, the concept of substance, the doctrine of the creation of universal truths etc.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

By the end of this course, students will have acquired a good knowledge of the metaphysical tradition, an understanding of its different themes and an ability to analyse its main concepts.

In this way, they will be capable of assessing the metaphysical factors in any philosophical question.
