Main themes
To achieve its objectives, the course will address the following themes:
'the historical and religious context of the New Testament;
'the figure of Jesus in the New Testament;
'introduction to the Pauline literature, the Gospels and the Apocalypse and insight into the Apocrypha of the New Testament;
'a brief history of the canon of the New Testament;
'relationship between history, literature and theology for reading the Bible.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

At the end of this course, the student will be able:

·        to describe the historical and religious context of the New Testament and situate the figure of Jesus;

·        to master a basic knowledge of the New Testament writings (content, main characteristics¿);

·        to describe the history of the formation of the New Testament canon.
