Content
The course will rely on the history of the relations between literatures and plastic arts. Beyond the transfers from one art into the other, we will examine the many historical and thematic intersections between the two creative fields, as well as the aesthetical and philosophical foundations of these intersections. We will explore the different ways in which this dialogue between the arts is implemented : common genres (history, portrait, landscape'); reciprocal inclusions of image and text; free creations from one art with the tools of the other, etc. The methodology will be interdisciplinary, working at the crossroads of literature, art history, aesthetics, semiology, etc.
