Prerequisites

The prerequisite(s) for this Teaching Unit (Unité d’enseignement – UE) for the programmes/courses that offer this Teaching Unit are specified at the end of this sheet.
Content
The course consists of presenting interventions that are representative of what psychologists do in the fields of education and development and encouraging students to take a critical look at these types of interventions. This year, the interventions presented will focus on the following themes: vocational guidance, support for success, early school leaving, emotional skills training, professional integration, in-company training, job search assistance, career support and active aging.
Teaching methods
The course will take the form of interactive presentations with illustrations and presentations by experts and/or field actors.
Evaluation methods
The assessment of student learning will be done in four ways. Students will be evaluated on the basis of written work done individually on one of the intervention themes. This part of the assessment will count as 7/20 in the final score. Students will also be required to evaluate the written productions of three other students. This will count for 3/20 in the final rating. Then, after each course session, students will be asked to write two MCQ-type exam questions about the session they have just attended. Students who do not submit these questions after each session will be penalized by half a point for each undelivered "assignment". Finally, a written exam with twenty multiple-choice and multiple-answer questions will complete the assessment, and will be worth 10/20. Students who fail the "work" or "exam" part of the assessment will not receive credits for the course.
Other information
This course assumes that the student has mastered the content of LPSP1206 Psychology of Education, LPSP1213 Development, Environment, Culture and LPSP1203 Psychology of Disability Situations, or its equivalent.
