Main themes
The course is concerned with questions of public law in relationship with social integration and solidarity. Only a limited number of themes are selected each year, so that a thorough analysis may be developped about each one. The themes may vary according to actuality and in keeping with the manifold problems which appear both in Belgian and European law. The handled questions may bear on the organization of fundamental rights in the Belgian society, or the implementation of the national solidarity process. The course can bring up, for example, problems such as the equality of social chances, the coexistence of various religions and languages, the housing policy, as well as the teaching system, the social welfare system, the employment policy or the ways of cooperating to the development of Southern countries.
