The process of elaborating conservation-restoration projects and the methodological, administrative and management particularities.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 Ask the relevant questions in relation to conserving and restoring heritage.
Students will be able to use suitable methods to analyse, document and interpret monuments and sites and in doing so, establish respectful, pertinent conservation-restoration proposals and follow procedurescorrectly.

Content
Methodology and aims of preliminary analyses.
Archaeological study of buildings.
The processes from the surveys to the master plan.
The establishment of conservation-restoration files and follow up on-site : plans, measurements and specifications.
Legal aspects and administrative procedures.
Teaching methods
Lectures, workshops, conferences and practical exercises.
Evaluation methods
Paper on the collective practical work.
Written and/or oral exam assessed by a jury.

Bibliography
Les ouvrages imposés sont mis à la disposition des étudiants au Centre d’Information et de Documentation de la Paix-Dieu et/ou dans les bibliothèques des institutions partenaires.
