Main themes
In this course, an overview of the collective actors that are the political movements, organizations and parties is provided.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

  • Apprehend the literature on political movements, organizations and parties
  • Analyse collective political actors
  • Carry a research about one of them
  • Write a short article from this research
  • Present research findings

Content
This course offers an analytical overview of the topic, on the one hand, and develop the students' abilities to learn, on the other hand.
Teaching methods
This course is collectively organized: that is, it starts from a blank page which needs to be filled by the students, with the support of the teaching team. The ambition is that the students can identify what needs to be studied, to find the relevant information, to present and discuss it and finally to deliver a critical assessment.
Evaluation methods
This course is assessed via individual and collective bibliographic research, presentations and discussions, and a short article

This course demands active student participation and a good command of English
