Main themes
These objectives will be achieved after an analysis on a specific question about ancient Church history (historical, litterary, theological and when needed archeological aspects).
The analysed texts will be situated in their historical and theological contexts.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 carry out personal research on a specific question about ancient Church history (historical, litterary and theological aspects) ;
 
2 read critically ancient historical sources ;
 
3 use the main tools in the field.

Content
The "triumph of Christianity"
This year, the course will attempt to revisit the question of the "triumph of Christianity" from the perspective of defeated paganism
