Content
This teaching unit on anthropological and cultural history will focus on the origin of anthropological thought and on the different schools of the anthropological field since the second half of the 19th century: evolutionism, diffusionism (F. Boas), the French school (Durheim and Mauss), British functionalism (B. Malinowski), structuralism (C. Levis-Strauss), Marxist anthropology (M. Godelier), dynamic anthropology (G. Balandier), post-modern criticism (E. Saïd), anthropology and postcolonialism.
Course objective: At the end of this course, the student will be able to situate chronologically the different anthropological approaches, to point out their stakes and to make links between these approaches.

The teaching unit is given on-site. A reading portfolio as well as various pedagogical resources (videos, podcasts) will be made available to students via the course Moodle. Assignments or tasks may be requested from one course to another.
Some courses may be given online. If we switch to Orange code, the entire course will be given online.

Examen oral sur base du cours, d’un dossier de lecture, du visionnement de documentaires.
Active involvement in the courses is also required, as well as some reading or assignments to be handed in on the Moodle.
