At the end of this seminar, the student will be able to identify and isolate an international security issue and analyze it thoroughly according to academic standards. The student will be able to use major contemporary theories and concepts in the field. S.he will therefore be able to use them in the framework of a case-study through a rigorous and properly documented analysis.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the information in this section is particularly likely to change.The first lectures (either online or in-class) will initiate the students to the problems of international security and will provide them with the appropriate theoretical, conceptual, methodological and contextual frames. Subsequent sessions will revolve around the work of the students and ensuing debates. If the sanitary situation allows it, a simulation may be scheduled around the mid-term.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the information in this section is particularly likely to change.The evaluation will be based on an oral presentation (group level) on a specific topic mixing a specific case study with a theoretical approach on security and on a related research paper the student will submit at the end of the term. Participation to debates and simulations will also be taken into account in the final assessment.
