Main themes
The main topics are: general principles of the public law and their application with the framework of sport activities, macro- and micro- economics of the physical and sport activities, structure and the functioning of the institutions involved in the organization of physical and sport activity.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 At the term of this teaching, the student will understand the legal and economic mechanisms as well as the structural and institutional aspects which underlie the organization of physical and sport activities.
 
Content
The first part of the course concentrates on the legal aspects of sport. It provides students with an understanding of contracts and legal standards. The course includes also the study of the organization and governance of sport and sport businesses. Examination of sport delivery systems including sport through sport clubs systems and sport development in the Belgian and in an international context. Finally, it addresses issues of particular interest to the delivery of sport and recreation services. The course investigates contemporary administrative theory and practices with applications to the private, public, and not-for-profit sport and recreation organizations.
