Introduction to the basic principles of ethics and legal organization of speech and therapy practice, professional responsibility, administrative formalities required to practice professionally as a speech and language therapist. The course has two parts : Part 1 - medical practice and the legal organization of medical and paramedical professions - legal responsibilities of the speech and language therapist and risk insurance coverage - legal and disciplinary issues - ethical and legal questions raised by professional practice Part 2 : organization of the profession in Belgium and Europe Lectures and contact with practising speech and language therapists
