At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1. Describe and explain the main political dynamics in Belgium
 
2. Compare these dynamics between and within political systems
 
3. Deepen their understanding of challenges related to this comparison in an individual research
 
Content
This course analyses the dynamics of Belgian politics in a comparative perspective.
Teaching methods

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the information in this section is particularly likely to change.

This course relies on readings prepared by the students before coming to class and on discussions in class. To undertake their written research paper, complementary readings will need to be done.
Evaluation methods

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the information in this section is particularly likely to change.

The students are assessed on the basis of oral presentations in class and of a written research paper.
Other information
This course demands active student participation and a reading command of English.
Depending on the evolution of sanitary conditions and consequently of the sanitary code, the teaching and evaluation mode will possibly change, in whole or in part, to remote mode via one or several computer tools provided by the University.  Students enrolled in the course will be informed by e-mail.
