Main themes
The course ensures the study of Belgian business law, without excluding occasional references, with a pedagogical aim, to comparative law ; commercial professions and their specificities ; commercial acts and practices ; company law ; financial law ; collective liquidation procedures. Lectures which may, if necessary, be completed, depending on course needs by other pedagogical methods. The syllabus must be provided at the beginning of the course semester, as from the second year of the nomination of the lecturer. 12 hours of compulsory practical exercises to help the student develop a practical approach to the subject. The sessions are prepared by the student whose course input is evaluated by the assistant. The course lecturer will, in agreement with the president of the department, be attentive to the coherence and adequation between the practical exercises and the lectures, including their contribution to the evaluation. 
Content
The course encompasses the Belgian law of the enterprise, without excluding specific references, for educational purposes, to comparative law: the notion of enterprise and its specificity; an introduction to company law; payments and financing of the enterprise; the main contracts of the enterprise; competition law; market practices.
Teaching methods
(Presence, distance and/or comodal) Lecture course completed, if necessary, by other teaching methods.
12 hours of practical exercises allow the student to develop a practical approach to the subject. Sessions must be prepared by the student.
Evaluation methods
Subject to the sanitary situation,
The examination comprises two parts: 
(i) a written part dealing with the resolution of a practical case;
(ii) an oral part during which the student answers randomly selected questions and additional questions asked by the examiner;
or
The examination consists in a written on-line exam.
Other information
Students are free to chose which legal basis compilation to use for the exam. No specific publisher is required nor recommended.
