The course deals with the degradation and conservation of the natural environment. Topics that are addressed are:
Evolution of the human impact on the environment
Historical soil degradation
Water use in agriculture
Conservation agriculture
C sequestration in soils
Teaching methods
The course consist of 7 lectures, 2 field trips, 1 project, 1 oral presentation by the students and 4 exercises
Evaluation methods
Written exam 50 % and course work 50 %
