The activity aims at preparing the student to university work and thesis writing. It is complementary to the courses « méthode I » and « méthode II », and runs through the whole master program. During this complementary module, the students will get familiar with issues that characterize scientific research and its diversity in the humanities. More specifically, the activity aims at familiarizing the students to what characterizes a scientific text, through the reading and analyzing of scientific publications (articles or book chapters) and the writing of a synthesis.
The activity will be certified through the reading of a scientific text (within domain of social, economic and/or political processes), documentary research and the writing of a synthesis of scientific publications. The modalities of second session are identical.
The activity is based on research examples in various disciplines of the humanities, as well as scientific publications (articles of book chapters). No reference book in particular.
