Main themes
The pharmaceutical dosage forms that are produced include tablets gastroresistant capsules, parenteral dosage forms, sterile unguents, suppositories and aerosols. Controls include rheology, osmotic pressure, sterility tests as well as dissolution, desaggregation, friability of solide dosage forms.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 The aim of these practical training is to form the students for the formulation, manufacturing and control of dosage forms produced in pharmacy and/or industry based on their knowledge in pharmaceutical technology.
 
Content
The course is based on the production and control of pharmaceutical dosage forms, in particular tablets and iparenteral drugs. The students will use the European Pharmacopeia and other reference books
Teaching methods
The students will produce and control dosage forms. They will justify the choice of excipients and the methods of manufacturing and control.
Evaluation methods
Evaluation based on the pharmceutical dosage forms produced by the student, the written or oral reports (18/20) and a written evaluation (2/20).
Other information
Prerequisite: Pharmacie galénique part 1 (WFARM2156) and 2 (WFARM2157).  
Partipation to the practical training is mandatory to validate the teaching unit.

The  pharmaceutical dosage forms that will be produced and tested and the written reports are available on Moodle.
Online acess to the the European Pharmacopoeia is available.
