This course will enable students to prepare for contact with the employer :
  •  Explain all the steps to be taken to promote their professional integration
  •  Prepare the meeting with the employer for a better visibility of the career possibilities
  •  Position themselves in relation to the job market
  •  Advise on the creation of job search tools

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

  • clarify his/her profile
  • search and analyse information on the labour market
  • conduct a survey on a job of his/her choice
  • write an application
 
Content
  • Concept of personal/professional assessment and labour market study
  • Definition of the professional project
  • Effective CV & cover letter
  • Presentation of the UNamur Career Center by Jobteaser (students should have their laptop)
  • Round tables of experts from the socio-economic world and witnesses
Teaching methods
This course will alternate theoretical contributions with explanations of different tools and illustrations of these by concrete examples, role plays, testimonies
Evaluation methods
The evaluation of this course will be based on collective and individual work :
  • Collective work in M1:
    presentation of a company (sector, services, organisation chart,...) and analysis of possible jobs for their level of study
  • Individual work in M2 :
    • carrying out a survey with a professional working in a function related to the study program.
    • completion of an application (CV + covering letter)
