Main themes
This course is devoted to the study of the book in digital form, both in its technical and cultural dimensions. We will study the role of traditional and new market players of the ebooks supply chain, and the issues of the open access, dematerialization and copyright.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

On completing this course, students will be familiar with the modern environment of digital books. They will be able to keep up with the development of formats, digital rights management, e-readers and economic patterns. They will be able to talk to publishers, wholesalers, booksellers and librarians and choose the most appropriate purchase modes and formats of digital books. They will be able to give good advice on these matters to bookstore customers and library users.

1 individual work will account for 25% of the final score.
The oral examination during the session will account for 75% of the final score.
