The course covers methods of inquiry (hypothesis-driven inquiry), open sources and physical sources, and validation of information. It explains and implements master file maintenance. The course also deals with reporting methods, the relationship to the field and narrative writing. It provides guidelines for the use of specific journalistic genres. Students will be required to carry out practical work in a journalistic production situation.
