The "Multimedia Course" consists of a technical update of the students of the Master in Information and Communication and is part of the common core of all the finalities. This introductory course in multimedia design prepares students for the various practical exercises they will have to carry out during their Masters. In concrete terms, the topics covered revolve around the three fundamental media formats, namely
- Image
- Sound
- Video
At the end of this course, the student will be able to master the various fundamental technical operations necessary to produce a qualitative audio-scripto-visual device, i.e. the capture, processing and arrangement of text, images, sound and video on digital media

Evaluation methods
This course is evaluated on an ongoing basis during the first quarter. During the term, students will be required to produce a number of assignments, 3 of which will be assessed. Each assignment is due by a specific date.
Each exercise is assessed according to a "scale" indicating its quality in relation to the standards expected in a professional environment:
At the end of the term, these lettered assessments, which conceal a numerical grade, are integrated into a global grade which is the student's grade out of 20.

- A means that the work would be publishable as is (16+),
- B means that it would be publishable with minor modifications (13-15),
- C means that it could not be published without substantial revision (10-12),
- D that it would have to be completely redone (1-9),
- E that it is not readable, late or not submitted (0).

Other information
This course assumes that students have the knowledge of the use of a computer and its operating system as well as the use of common navigation tools and basic office software (mail manager, word processor, spreadsheet, etc.).
