Content
The seminar will be an opportunity for students to propose the analysis of professional situations with regard to the theoretical frameworks of the FOPC2100 course. It will mainly be an opportunity for a collective follow-up and support of applied research dissertations.
The learning outcomes targeted by the programme as a whole are as follows: 1. to adopt a reflective practice approach; 2. to conceptualise one's professional practices; 3. to master the specificities of educational research; 4. to design and carry out research on the subject of education; 5. to communicate about one' s practice/research to contribute to the field of training and learning & 6. to develop a teacher-researcher identity
The seminar will focus on developing outcomes 1, 2, 3 and secondarily contribute to the other learning outcomes.
Teaching methods
7 to 8 sessions are organised over the two terms, on average once a month. The seminar will alternate between sessions presenting the progress of the research work, thematic sessions on teaching and learning issues related to the research carried out, and sessions aimed at developing the methodology of educational research (tools for collecting and analysing the data). It will be the core seminar of the Master of Specialisation in University Teaching and Learning.
Evaluation methods
The active participation of students in the seminar sessions is required to validate the seminar. This participation will involve the presentation of the progress and analysis of applied research projects, carried out in parallel to the seminar as part of their professional practice or internship.
The final assessment is based on active participation in all the sessions, the submission of the individual productions at the end of each seminar on the Moodle platform and of a final synthesis of the seminar's contribution to the programme. Those productions must be submitted before the examination period.
Discussions within the seminar allow for individual and collective feedback on the progress of the reflection and research work (formative moments).
