Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Provide the elementary notions of neurology for a non-medical therapist (psychologist, speech therapist) who is working in close collaboration with specialized neurologists, psychiatrists and geriatricians.
2) A1, F1, F2
Make psychologists or speech therapists aware of the relational and psychiatric issues in the rehabilitation of patients with brain damage and neurodegenerative pathologies.
 
Content
1) Neurological semiology, supplementary neurological examinations, neurological pathologies (multiple sclerosis, head injury, stroke, dementia etc.)
2) Coping with the loss of good health, influence of the patient's personality on the neuropsychological rehabilitation, influence of anxiety and depression on cognitive functions, differential diagnosis between depression and neurodegenerative pathologies.
