Content
The seminar deals with the research in the field of translation studies and interpretology for the language combination French-German through lectures, the reading of scientific articles, presentations and discussions. In 2015-2016, the course will focus the (theoretical) frameworks of Construction Grammar, linguistic typology and valence theory, with a special emphasis on the expression of motion and on resultatives.

Seminar involving an active participation of students: reading list, classroom discussions, oral presentations, etc.
Evaluation methods

-    Certificate assessment:
January :
a)    Oral presentation (20% of the final mark)
b)    Term paper, containing original research, to be submitted by the end of November (70% of the final mark)
c)    Oral defence in January (10% of the final mark)
August/September: written paper (80% of the final mark) + oral exam (20% of the final mark)
The practical details of the different assignments will be specified on the Moodle platform and in the course.
The written and oral assignments are personal assignments that will reflect the student's skills. The references have to be mentioned adequately. Any (attempted) cheating, such as the use of machine translation, writing the work by third parties, plagiarism, etc. will be sanctioned according to the règlement général des études et des examens.
