At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to : | |
The purpose of this course unit is to provide a general overview of Belgian business law. Students get an insight into the various fields of business law so that they can subsequently specialise further in the master's programmes. A link is also made with the other branches of law dealt with in the other course units (such as the law of obligations and special contracts). After this course, the student is able to work his way independently in the various fields of business law. |

(2) The concept of undertaking (functional and formal sense) and its legal consequences
(3) Freedom of enterprise incl. the European freedoms
(4) Competition law
(5) Market practices and consumer protection
(6) Main commercial contracts

(7) Payment transactions and financing of the company
(8) Principles of company law as a special form of enterprise
(9) Companies in difficulty: bankruptcy law
