At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

By this work, the student demonstrates that he/she is capable of carrying out a personal scientific work on a particular problem. In order to do so, he/she will be able to define a working hypothesis (if necessary by analysing examples), to carry out bibliographical research in accordance with a scientific approach, and to reach a meta-reflection. He/she will develop a written presentation of his/her research, presenting an adequate argumentation based on the questioning and the results of his/her research. This written presentation will also meet the criteria for the presentation of a scientific text. The work will consist of between 7000 and 8000 words of body text (excluding bibliography, appendix(es), table(s), etc.).
The student writes the paper in one of his/her languages of specialisation and using English, Dutch or academic German. By doing so, he/she will prove that he/she has a good written command and sufficient writing skills of this foreign language.
