Prerequisites
The student should have followed the intermediate-level course (LANGL1842) or a course of a similar level, corresponding to the B2 level in listening comprehension and the C1 level in reading comprehension of the 'Common European Framework for Languages' (European Council).
Main themes
Students will be asked to take part in various activities allowing them to develop their communicative skills (mainly oral skills) in the following situations: Job interview (including a CV and a letter of application) presenting a specific topic, participating in a meeting, using electronic mail, telephoning.

Content
Students should be able to communicate spontaneously and fluently to a degree that allows for normal interaction with a native-speaker interlocutor , with a B2 level in speaking of the 'Common European Framework for Languages' (European Council).
Teaching methods
- This is a 60-minute course, taught weekly throughout the academic year, in groups of maximum 20 students.
- Every teacher has at least one office-hour a week and can be contacted by email.
Evaluation methods
June session :
Attendance at this language course is required. In accordance with article 72 of the General Regulations for Studies and Examinations, the teacher may propose to the jury that a student who has at least three unjustified absences for the course, be refused registration for the January, June or September session.
August session :
Situation A : Students with at least 10/20 for continuous assessment in June:
Situation B : Students with less than 10/20 for continuous assessment in June:
- Certificative continuous assessment: (60% of the final mark) participation in all class activities and preparation for those activities.
- One individual oral exam (40% of the final mark) writing of a CV and letter of motivation + job interview.

- Certificative continuous assessment: (60% of the final mark): preparation of all activities as described in the syllabus and on Moodle in the section “ instructions for the September session”.
- Individual oral exam (40% of the final mark): writing of a CV and letter of motivation + job interview.
