Main themes
The course confronts the student with the concrete realities of the publishing profession. It is the logical extension of the LCLIB2001 course. It allows the student to learn about professional page layout software and to apply some of the concepts studied in the theoretical courses.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

The course develops the student's familiarity with the publishing profession through the mastery of page layout and editing software. At the end of this course, the student will be able to use a desktop publishing tool (DTP) and will be able to complete the production of an original document (reflection on the graphic charter, design of the layout, acquisition of texts and images, page layout, production of PDF, etc.).
 
Content
InDesign software classes and individual meetings to discuss the project.
Teaching methods
Classroom sessions in a computer room
Evaluation methods
Realization of a personal work of layout (a book, a magazine,...) of about twenty pages minimum, from the conception to the printing and the binding, accompanied by a report of 2-3 pages on the editorial choices, graphics and management of the royalties.
