Prerequisites
Students should also be registered for teaching practice (HIST 9001) and for the teaching practice seminar for history (HIST 2313).
Main themes
This seminar will take up the student teaching experiences of students, and thanks to videotaping allow them to :
- Compare their performance at different times and gain critical distance with regard to their own perceptions of live teaching ;
- Analyse the pedagogical methods of other students ;
- Implement theoretical ideas and models developed in the framework of other principles of good teaching practice.

Content
The approach to these different problems is inductive and collective. The course is comprised by analyse of the experiences of the students and theoretical lectures
Evaluation methods
A grade (/20) will be awarded at the end of the course. It will be based on regular participation in teaching activities and the submission of intermediate work, on the one hand, and on the completion of an end-of-year assignment, on the other.
Details of how and when to submit the end-of-year assignment will be posted on moodle in February.
Regular attendance at teaching activities is compulsory. Activities are defined as face-to-face sessions, distance learning sessions, participation in workgroups, and submission of intermediate work within the announced deadlines. Absence from more than three teaching activities, including failure to hand in an intermediate assignment on time, is considered as non-regular attendance. In accordance with article 72 of the Examination and Study Regulations, the course instructor reserves the right to ask the jury to refuse to register a student with irregular attendance for the examination relating to his or her teaching unit.
