The dissertation is an important moment of training through personal research practice. It must enable the student to acquire and demonstrate the ability to master disciplinary or interdisciplinary questioning, by asking one or more research questions, by implementing the most appropriate methodology(ies), by appropriately analysing the collected or available information, and by interpreting the obtained results. This research work shall be related to an adequate theoretical framework or frameworks. When writing the dissertation, the student will take care to present and write correctly the content and the results of the whole process.
The Master’s dissertation of a 120 Master supposes the mobilization of all the methodological and heuristic assets of the scientific approach. The dissertation must demonstrate a capacity for synthesis, reflection and writing, and focus on targeted research questions.

Teaching methods
The student benefits, throughout the elaboration of his/her work, from the support of a teacher who will be the supervisor. The degree and the modalities of the accompaniment (more or less directed work, more or less autonomous, etc.) are agreed between the supervisor and the student. In all cases, the student and the supervisor commit themselves to what constitutes an educational contract. Once the subject has been validated, it is useful to establish a work schedule with your supervisor.
Evaluation methods
The work takes the form of a document of about 50 pages (excluding bibliography and possible annexes).  An oral defence of the work is then scheduled, with a reader.
The rating is established by taking into account : 1. The quality of the form and content of the dissertation; 2. the quality of the student's brief oral presentation; 3. the course of the discussion between the student, the supervisor and the reader.
