Content
Translation and analysis of Biblical Hebrew texts, especially poetic texts, and of some epigraphic Hebrew texts.
Teaching methods
Active method: preparation of texts at home, oral presentation of translations and analyses in class, and collective study.
Evaluation methods
Preparation of texts at home and active participation in class throughout the term: 30% of final grade.
Written exam in January: 70% of final grade. This involves translating a text already studied in class (no tools allowed) and then a new text (lexicon allowed), each time analyzing a few grammatical forms.
Attendance is required. In accordance with article 72 of the General Regulations for Studies and Examinations, the professor may propose to the jury that a student who has not attended at least 80% of the courses be refused registration in the January/June or September session.
Same procedure in Q3 (keeping the preparation and participation mark from Q2).
Other information
The use of computer tools, softwares, apps and websites is forbidden during class and exams.
