At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Acquire the necessary knowledge on the evolution and the different aspects of the chinese contemporary society
 
Content
The course will focus on the presentation, analysis and discussion of the different periods of Chinese contemporary society and its evolution since 1949 on the political-economic and socio-cultural levels.
Teaching methods
Presentation, analysis and discussion, accompanied by video documentaries, and student work
Evaluation methods
Oral exam at the end of the semester, student work during the semester will be included in the assessment
Other information
Class attendance is obligatory
