At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

At the end of the course, students will be able to :
- identify the nature of the information provided in a bibliography (name of the author, name of the scientific editor, title of the journal, collection...) and write a bibliographic record;
- use the basic tools in Romance Studies appropriately;
- understand and produce university-level texts in their discipline.
 
Content
The course consists of two parts:
- Training in bibliographical research: presentation of research tools in Romance studies, documentary research, bibliographical referencing, critical approach to bibliographical resources, definition of plagiarism, etc.
- Analysis and practice of university-level texts: learning how to write scientific summaries, introductions and conclusions, etc.
Teaching methods
The course alternates between lectures and exercises. Students are regularly asked to work on various documents during class sessions.
Evaluation methods
The assessment consists of two parts
- a personal written assignment due on the first day of the session;
- a written application exam.
The assessment procedures (conditions for success, etc.) and the instructions for the written assignment are explained at the beginning of the course.
The assignment is worth 50% of the final mark.
The written exam is worth 50% of the final mark.
The use of artificial intelligence tools is prohibited.
