Advanced training for archaeologists specializing in European prehistory. Develop critical thinking, analysis of material culture and human remains in order to understand the means of reconstruction methods of the periods before writing, including through theoretical and anthropological concepts (physical and cultural anthropology ) in archaeological interpretation. |

Content
The course considers specific questions and problems of interpretation related to the reconstruction of ways of life and ways of thinking of Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic societies (from the origins to the 3rd millennium BC).
Teaching methods
Ex-cathedra lectures and student lessons based on reading of one or several papers communicated at the beginning of the course.
Evaluation methods
Oral examination in June and/or September sessions (50%), continuous assessment (seminars) (25%) and written work (25%)
