Content
The plant pathology course presents selected examples of pathogens (bacteria, fungi, protozoa, viruses and viroids) which help illustrate how these agents cause essential diseases. The course explores the different aspects of the relationship of the pathogen cycle with the host plant, illustrating how interesting it is to know this relationship to control plant diseases.
Teaching methods
Teaching is given face-to-face. A field trip is organized to allow students to measure the presence and impact of plant diseases, just as practical work allows students to familiarize themselves with the plant pathogens concerned.
Evaluation methods
Learning outcomes are assessed via a written exam covering the theoretical and practical parts of the course as well as through participation in practical work (reports).
Other information
This course can be given in English.
