At the end of this learning module, the student should be able to enter the job market.

  • use the language efficiently and fluently in a professional context.
  • produce and understand an array of long and demanding texts linked to discusive genres belonging to the domain of job applications (résumés, covering letters, job offers) or to the sphere of work (reports on a professional project or on one's educational background).
  • present and defend a professional project in an educational setting; express reasoned opinions at meetings, during work-related conversations, etc.
  • propose and negotiate work conditions, the various steps in a project, solutions, etc.; attend a job interview, take part in a group dynamic, etc.; relay information, etc.

Content
This learning module aims at developing all the language and communication skills entrenched in a communicative, lexical and grammatical approach.
The methodology is very varied and includes carrying out various written and oral assignments throughout the course, linked to the themes tackled. These tasks are to be submitted either during classroom hours or in a digital portfolio on the Genially
This course is exclusively interactive, with the students carrying out their projects in the context of vocational induction. With the aim of accomplishing the above-mentioned assignments, various activities linked to communication and the mastering of the code will be proposed. These activites are aimed at improving the various language and communication skills (listening and reading comprehension, writing and speaking).
Various materials and activities are used: role-playing, debates, group work, songs, film, documentaries, etc.
Teaching methods
The course is given face-to-face, with some distance learning sessions  and with e-learning support on UCLouvain platforms (Teams, Moodle uclouvain) and other external platforms (Google, Zoom...).
The module is essentially based on PBL (problem-based learning) and on the principle of self-assessment: the student is at the heart of their learning and is cognitively involved, so that they can construct knowledge and know-how by themselves as well as with the help of their peers. Thus, various forms of self-assessment and peer-assessment are proposed throughout the learning module.
Evaluation methods
Assessment is continuous with different tests throughout the term (written expression, oral presentations, assignments, attendance and participation). The evaluation is as follows:
1. 40% Final presentation of an innovative project: presenting an innovative project in front of a jury at a contest for young entrepreneurs.
2. 60% Various assignments throughout the seminar:
