Prerequisites
LJAPO1100 or diploma/training recognized as equivalent. The student is expected to be able to write and read all signs of  hiragana et katakana.

  • Divers forms of  « -te » form -  to describe the succession of different actions, behaviors,  the actions in process, polite expressions to ask for a service and to forbid something

  • Listening of Japanese pop songs and dictation

This course aims to provide the opportunities to improve and enrich their linguistic abilities.
 
Content
The course is designed for bridging the beginner’s level and intermediate level. Students will learn useful expressions for daily conversation, basic grammar, vocabulary as well as writing some basic Kanji. The course also aims to enhance students’ Japanese cultural understanding.
Teaching methods
The course focuses mainly on acquiring oral communication skills. Therefore, students will participate in many speaking activities and interactions with other students.
Evaluation methods
  • Mid-year exam, which consists of listening, writing and oral assessments.
  • Final exam, which consists of listening, writing and oral assessments.
  • Performance of assignments and active participation are also considered in the grade.
