Prerequisites
Intermediate Japanese Language skills are required (i.e. LJAPO1300). The student is expected to be able to write and read all signs of hiragana and katakana.

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

This course aims to provide the students with the opportunities to improve and enrich their linguistic abilities.
 
 
Content
The course is designed for the students who wants to improve their ability at the intermediate level. Students will learn useful expressions for daily conversation and gain further knowledge of grammar and vocabulary as well as Kanji. The course also aims to enhance students’ Japanese cultural understanding.
Teaching methods
The course focuses mainly on acquiring oral communication skills. Therefore, students will participate in many speaking activities and interactions with other students.
Evaluation methods
  • Mid-year exam, which consists of listening, writing and oral assessments.
  • Final exam, which consists of listening, writing and oral assessments.
  • Performance of assignments and active participation are also considered in the grade.
