Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Know how to read a text in Italian
Know how to identify and analyse lexical units worthy of interest
Understand the methodological foundations of lexicography
 
 
Content
Students will explore the vocabulary used in Italian song lyrics over the decades, develop skills in lexicographic and linguistic analysis, identify stylistic, slang and regional elements of musical language, analyze the evolution of the language in Italian songs, with a particular focus on themes, key words and linguistic mutations. Students work alone or in small groups, under the supervision of the teacher.
 


Teaching methods
Interactive frontal lessons, guided listening and analysis of musical texts
 
Evaluation methods
 The student will be assessed as follows:
  • June session: Oral exam on the course content.
  • September session: Oral examination on the course content.
