The first theme will illustrate the necessity of a cognitive approach in neurosciene. The second theme will be more specific and will study the principal cognitive functions investigated today.
At the end of this unit, the student should be able to define the specific approach and contribution of cognitive neuroscience with respect to other approaches in neurosciences. The student should be able to describe the methods of cogntive neurosciences to use as a function of the scientific question being raised. The student should be able to explain dominant theories in cognitive neurosciences and to understand the litterature in this domain.
Teaching methods
Ex-cathedra lectures. Critical readings of significant papers.
Lectures will be given either in French or in English.
Evaluation methods
Written exam or oral presentation.
Weighting of the final score: 40% for the part of Marcus Missal, 10% for the part of Julie Duqué,
25% for the part of Valéry Legrain, 25% for the part of Robert Hardwick
