The course will attempt to answer the question posed in its title based on a series of proposals constructed by linking concrete human settlements (or parts of projects), concepts from the humanities, and themes (time, the world, society, etc.). 
It will draw on reference theories, including the Theory of Mediation, a general anthropological theory, which will be explored according to its various hypotheses.
Teaching methods
The course will alternate between participatory theoretical lectures, visits, individual exercises, collaborative sessions and group feedback.
Evaluation methods
The assessment will take the form of a written examination organised in a session.
