Main themes
The seminar on environmental law and public real estate law allows students to study the topic of their choice in depth. The seminar work is an extension of other courses in this area and is an opportunity for students to explore an aspect of environmental law or public real estate law in greater detail and with more specific focus. As well as individual sessions, group sessions are organised, particularly for presentation of the results of research at the point of submitting seminar work. This seminar requires students to produce a piece of written work attesting their competence in environmental law or in public real estate law
Content
The purpose of the seminar accompanying the thesis of the Specialized Master in Environmental Law and Public Real Estate Law is to help students define the subject and methodology of their final thesis (TFE) and to help them complete it within the required time frame and with the required quality. The end-of-study work is a personal and in-depth work of research and reflection that attests to the student's mastery of a given legal subject. As a personal work, the TFE aims to highlight the student's autonomy, critical sense, mastery of the law, skills and other personal qualities.
Teaching methods
Student follow-up begins with a joint session with all students to outline objectives and timelines. Several sessions, collective and/or individual, are then organized during Q1 to allow students to determine their topic and then, during Q2 and, if necessary, the following year (if spread out), to write their TFE. Individual follow-up is provided by the sponsor (or co-sponsors) at the student's initiative.
Evaluation methods
The TFE is a written service between 40 and 55 pages. It is also the subject of an oral defense including a 20' oral presentation and 20' questions and answer
