Circle U. brings together internationally oriented research-intensive universities that are at the forefront of education innovation. Alliance members are located throughout Europe, ensuring the diversity of cultures and points of view that are essential to this inclusive project at all levels. Among them we find major capitals: London, Paris, Brussels, Berlin and Vienna; a British university facing Brexit, which reaffirms the universities’ openness and desire to collaborate in spite of a political climate of withdrawal; the University of Belgrade, Serbia’s largest and oldest university and the most renowned in southeastern Europe, offering more than 60 programmes conducted entirely in English; the University of Pisa is one of the oldest universities of Europe, and today the university leads important international research and innovative education networks whose results are incoporated into its study programmes;and rounding out these universities of excellence, two in Scandinavia, whose reputation for innovation is second to none.
