Behzad got his Master's Degree in Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering on 2017. He conducted projects and provided consulting services in the field of traffic management after his graduation. Behzad joined UC Louvain as a Ph.D. student on 2020. The topic of his Ph.D. project is "Assessment of The Resilience of a Road Network in The Perspective of New Technologies in The Field of Mobility (Traffic Management)". He has published several articles on road network resilience, the impacts of connected and autonomous vehicles on road network resilience, traffic operation, and safety. He also joined TU Delft as a visiting Ph.D. student on 2022. During his stay at TU Delft, he developed a novel simulation tool to solve the traffic assignment problem in the mixed traffic flow of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles and human Driven Vehicles.
