I am an evolutionary ecologist mainly interested in determining the causes of individual variation in life-history traits (behaviour, physiology, morphology, phenology), and revealing how these variations can translate to modification in species interactions, community structure, food-web functioning and ecosystem services efficiency. I focus on anthropogenic disturbances such as climate-change and land-use changes. My research aims to demonstrate the role of behavioural, morphological and physiological adjustments in organisms’ ability to cope with increasing global change pressures either through genetic adaptations to new environment or through phenotypic plasticity. I address these research themes using insects as model organisms and a combination of lab-based experiments and monitoring in natural or semi-natural contexts.
