Access2University 2021-2022 edition is launched

The fifth edition of the Access2University programme for (candidates) asylum seekers will take place during the 2021-22 academic year. Applications are currently being accepted.

The Access2University programme aims to prepare refugees or asylum seekers for university studies. Unique in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the programme has welcomed 66 (candidates) asylum seekers in four years of existence.

The programme has three components: French courses, academic courses in the student’s discipline, and individualised support on various levels (administrative procedures, orientation, integration, etc.).

If you have applied for asylum in Belgium or have refugee status or subsidiary or temporary protection, reside in Belgium, and have at least A2 level French, you are eligible to apply to the 2021-22 programme.

The application deadline is end March. Information and the application form can be found on the programme presentation page.

For the 2021-22 academic year, in all programmes combined, UCLouvain has welcomed 109 asylum seeker or refugee students.
