Before completing your admission file, please check if you meet all the requirements for admission to the doctoral programme (articles 115, 117 and 119 of the decree of November 7 2013).
Application for admission to the PhD programme
The application for admission must be encoded via OSIS-Doctorat.
Before completing your online application for admission, please ensure you have obtained the agreement of your supervisor and the members of your supervisory panel. Also prepare the following information and documents:
- The name/s of your supervisor/s ;
- Your thesis project approved by your supervisor/s;
- The creation of a supervisory panel (the supervisor and at least two other members, at least one of whom does not belong to the same research team as the supervisor/s);
- The proposal of a doctoral training programme project (60 credits);
- Your CV as well as a copy of your identity card or passport
- Copies of university diplomas and transcripts
The supervisor and the members of the supervisory panel will be asked to digitally sign your application for admission.
In certain well-defined and justified situations (for example: the granting of a tax-exempt doctoral scholarship), you can request provisional admission.
Application for provisional admission to the PhD programme
The provisional admission request must be encoded via OSIS-Doctorat.
Also prepare the following information and documents:
- The name/s of your supervisor ;
- Your thesis project approved by your supervisor;
- Your CV as well as a copy of your identity card or passport
- Copies of university diplomas and transcripts
The supervisor will be asked to digitally sign your application for provisional admission.
Applications for admission or provisional admission are reviewed continuously, within a minimum of 4 weeks after receipt of a complete file.
The CDD verifies compliance with academic requirements, while the UCLouvain’s Registration Department checks the administrative and legal conditions for doctoral registration. The decision is communicated by email. The registration becomes valid when the student has paid the registration fee.
