The WeThaw team has reached the field site at Eight Mile Lake, Alaska

Louvain-La-Neuve

On May 1st, the WeThaw team currently in Alaska (Catherine Hirst, Elisabeth Mauclet and Sophie Opfergelt) has reached the field site at Eight Mile Lake. This early in the season, the lake is still frozen and covered in snow. The thaw season is about to start, and the team is ready to sample this important change in hydrology and soil dynamics.
